What is Unlocking?

When you buy the phone, the Service Provider (AT&T, T Mobile, Orange, Rogers) will set the phone up so it can only be used on their network. This is called locking the phone. Unlocking will allow your phone to be used on any GSM network in the world carrying the phone's frequency just by putting your SIM card in. This only works on GSM networks.

Can My Phone Be Damaged?

The methods we provide for unlocking phones, if completed correctly will not damage your phone. We 100% guarantee all mail in and In Person unlocking. We have unlocked 5,000+ phones and have not damaged a single one.

Who should unlock their phone?

Traveling between different countries (for business or personal) - this allows you to carry multiple plans or have a pay as you go SIM on the same phone.

Selling your phone - Our service increases the value of your phone because you can sell it to anyone on any compatible GSM network.

Changing Service providers - If you are not happy with your service provide, however want to keep your phone. You can keep it by unlocking your phone.

Buying the phone from the Internet. Buy a phone off the internet (eBay, Amazon, Howard Forums) and it's locked by another network, we can help!

Is it legal? Does it void your warranty?

Yes it is legal to unlock your phone and No it does not void manufacturers warranties. The Service provider will in most cases unlock the phone for you at a much higher cost (Example, we charge $10 CAD for a Nokia, Rogers Wireless, a Canadian service provider will charge you $250 CAD for the exact same service).

What is a IMEI #? How do I find it?

IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. This is a unique 15 digit serial number to identify your phone. There are two ways to find this number. (i) By looking on the back of your phone under the battery (ii) By pressing *#06# (Star, pound, zero, six, pound).

Also send a confirmation email as well to info@globalunlock.com. You can pay in any currency using a Visa or Mastercard, it will convert the US value and charge you the equivalent in your currency.
